Dec 2019 - Jan 2020, "Legacy: Krishnamurti and Ojai" at the Ojai Valley Museum
We were enormously honored to be mentioned within this exhibition on Krishnamurti, one of the most pivotal figures from Ojai's rich history. Our bookstore offers a wide selection of books on this spiritual man, the mindful culture he helped cultivate in Ojai, along with the history and meaning of Theosophy.
Fall 2019, Dr. Sirena Pellarolo spent an evening speaking about her story featured in the book "Voices of the 21st Century: Bold, Brave and Brilliant Women Who Make a Difference" and her life-long work towards women’s empowerment as a scholar, speaker and mentor of thousands of young Latinas ~ and her re-launch in her fifties from college professor to midlife reinvention coach (a Midlife Midwife).
Our 2019 Independent Bookstore Day brought us two exceptional talks from several very talented locals... An Ojai Writers' Round Table featured three amazing and experienced authors: Patricia Fry, Jeanne Kalogridis, and Kristen McGuiness. Next, Wilma Melville and Ret. Captain Rick Lee related the true story of the Search Dog Foundation.

Our 2018 celebration of Independent Bookstore Day, a one-day national party taking place at indie bookstores across the country, was a lovely day of comraderie, snacks and invigorating talks with four local authors ~ Patricia Fry, Helene Vachet, Brian Galetto and Liz Otterbein.
